Alfonso Pelosi holds an MSc degree as a civil hydraulic engineer, he has 40+ years of experience in Contracts Management and Construction of infrastructures, Roads, Highways, Railways, Bridges, Viaducts, Tunnels, Dams, Hydroelectric Power Plants, Water and wastewater systems in 24+ countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, New Zealand, and Central America. Projects financed by EU, WB, ADB, and Italian government. He also has 11 years of experience as a Tender specialist and Tender dept. Manager, with practical knowledge in preparation of tenders for international and Italian work contracts. In his career he acted for engineers, contractors, and employers as a designer, construction manager, quality control and quality assurance manager, project manager, contracts manager, and as Fidic Engineer. Alfonso has a comprehensive knowledge of the Fidic Conditions of Contracts and is a trainer and a regular lecturer at a postgraduated master classes in “Contracts claims and delay management” held at Politecnico of Milan. He is a member of a Fidic sub-group for drafting contracts. Alfonso is a chartered member of the Institution of Engineers (Italy), a member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF), and a member of the Society of Construction Law (SCL).

  Anca Motoroiu, has held contract management positions with several firms for nearly 15 years and gained extensive experience both in contract and claim management, successfully preparing supporting documents and actively participating in arbitration proceedings, both as part of the claimant’s litigation team, as well as a witness on behalf of the contractors. Anca holds an LLM degree in International Arbitration Law (conducted in English language) from the University of Bucharest Law School, for which she drafted a thesis on „The Relevance of the Dispute Adjudication Board in dispute resolution mechanism under FIDIC Contracts”. She is now the coordinator of the contract management department of PORR Romania dealing with a wide variety of major construction projects, such as railroads, highways, marine platforms, airports, which have been implemented by since 2014.
Ann Russo is Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, the non-profit association dedicated to the use of Dispute Review Boards worldwide. She is co-editor of the "Dispute Board Manual: A Guide to Best Practices and Procedures." Prior to joining the DRBF, she served as Public Relations Manager for J.A. Jones, Inc., an international construction and engineering firm based in Charlotte, NC, USA. She received the DRBF's President’s Distinguished Service Award in 2005.
 

Basar Sahin holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an LLM degree in Construction Law. He is an arbitrator, expert witness, and dispute board member. He has held contract, commercial, and project management positions with firms for nearly 25 years and gained experience in contract-claim management with a special emphasis on cost control, scheduling, and dispute resolution methods. His professional career started in Turkey as a construction field engineer and he then pursued commercial management in the USA for nearly 10 years before returning to Turkey and co-founding lCM Consulting. During this time he has taken responsibilities from tender to post-contract stages in all aspects of commercial management including negotiation of change orders, delay, acceleration, differing site conditions, and inefficiency claims for lump sum contracts as well as cost reimbursable contracts. His hands-on experience includes involvement in a wide variety of projects such as railroads, highways, tunnels, airports, power plants, marine works, housing, and oil-gas business in countries including Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Albania, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Hungary, Slovakia, and the USA.

 

Claus H. Lenz, FCIArb, ([email protected]) is the owner of the law firm LDR Lenz Dispute Resolution in Hamburg, Germany. His long-lasting expertise in the field of construction and engineering projects includes negotiation of contracts and paricipation in any kind of dispute settlement or dispute avoidance proceedings, as counsel but more often as mediator, Dispute Board member or as arbitrator. Claus served as a Co-Chair of the International Construction Projects (ICP) Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). He is regularly listed as a leading construction lawyer and is one of the “most highly regarded” construction lawyers in Germany according to Who’s Who Legal 2022, “highly recommended for construction cases and disputes” and with “outstanding client care”. 

 

Cremona Cotovelea is a Partner with Tecuci Paltineanu SCPA, where she serves as a construction lawyer, mediator, and DB member / FIDIC Certified Adjudicator with over 25 years of experience. She is also trained in project management and public procurement. She is the main author of two FIDIC-accredited modules (‘FIDIC Basic’ and ‘FIDIC in Public’) and a friendly reviewer of the 2017 FIDIC Red and Silver books. Cremona is also a FIDIC internationally accredited trainer. Cremona is a founding partner of the first Romanian construction law firm SCPA Tecuci Păltineanu (2001) providing integrated advice: on construction law, related public procurement, or EU / MDB financing. She is a member of several professional associations (DRBF, ArbitralWomen, ARIC a.s.o.).

 

Eugenio Zoppis is an engineer with a law degree and an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College in London, where he is doing research for a Ph.D. in law. He has published widely on construction law, and engineering topics. He is a certified adjudicator, a reviewer of FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Underground Works, and a leader of a sub-group for drafting contracts. As project manager for contractors, he has 35 years of on-site experience in large international projects, having built large dams (totaling 17 million m 3 of concrete or rock fill), tunnels and shafts (over 45 km), roads (over 1,300 km), bridges and buildings. He is currently managing a project for the construction of a 1800MW hydropower plant in Ethiopia.

  Florin Niculescu has over 25 years of experience in the field of civil engineering, having worked in the field of design, works supervision, works execution, International Financing Institution, and procurement. He now also works in the field of contracts administration and particularly, in the field of construction dispute adjudication, resolution, and arbitration. He has dealt with several types of construction projects, such as roads, railways, ports, airports, industrial and civil buildings, wastewater treatment plants, sewage, water supply and sewage networks, irrigation networks, and solid waste. He works as a freelance consultant, running his own enterprise, SC Ab Initio SRL (www.abinitio.ro), and collaborating with numerous world recognised companies, both in the country and abroad. Florin is also an excellent trainer in procurement, Conditions of Contract, Works Contracts implementation and Works Contracts Disputes Resolution. He specialises in dealing with contentious issues and particularly, avoidance and resolution of disputes. He is a member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.
  Gabriel Armanet is a Director for the Construction branch of FTI Consulting, working for the Forensic and Litigation team based in Paris. Gabriel has an academic background in construction law, international procurement, economics, and business administration management. He has provided services for the main engineering and construction companies operating in the construction industry across the globe (Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific). Gabriel is experienced in Alternative Dispute Resolution (mediation and arbitration). He has been involved in ICC arbitrations, supporting the preparation of the filing submissions up to final hearings, notably on Quantum matters. Gabriel has also been involved in the preparation and participation of mediation at the Singapore International Mediation Centre. In 2017-2019, Gabriel reinforced his academic background in construction law and dispute resolution at King’s College London. Gabriel won the King’s College UK Society of Construction Law prize for the best MSc dissertation in 2019, and the second prize from the European Society of Construction Law in 2020.
 

Gianni B. Rigoni has over 40 years’ professional experience in the civil engineering industry at top management level with a Master Degree in Construction Law and Arbitration (Robert Gordon University of Aberdeen, Scotland), Certified FIDIC Adjudicator and Chartered Arbitrator, member of DRBF and fellow of DBF and responsible of dispute resolution proceedings. His interest in contractual and legal aspects is obvious through his involvement for many years in Dispute Settlement on FIDIC based contracts and Contract Management thereof, having provided technical and contract management assistance to many major international Consulting Firms and Contractors. He has coordinated the commercial and technical activities of large construction companies, from tendering procedures through to the final stages of the Contracts/Projects, including Quality Assurance Control for large infrastructural projects worldwide in the construction of dams, roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, buildings, pipelines and sewerage systems, as well as relevant design activities. He is a member of multiple renowned professional bodies: Fellow Member of CIArb “Chartered Institution of Arbitrators”; Member of DRBF “Dispute Review Board Foundation”; Member of the “Ordine Nazionale degli Ingegneri” (Order of Civil Engineers), Italy. He serves as Executive Director at Techno Engineering & Associates Group.

  Giorgiana Tecuci is a member of the DRBF Region 2 Board of Directors representing Europe and serves as the DRBF Representative for Romania. She is a construction lawyer and DB member with over 25 years of experience. She is also trained in project management.  She is a co-author of two FIDIC-accredited modules (‘FIDIC Basic’ and ‘FIDIC in Public’) and a friendly reviewer of the FIDIC 2017 Yellow and 2019 Emerald books. Giorgiana is also a FIDIC internationally accredited trainer. She is a founding partner of the first Romanian construction law firm SCPA Tecuci Păltineanu (2001) providing integrated advice: on construction law, related public procurement, or EU / MDB financing.  She is a member of several professional associations (DRBF,  ArbitralWomen, IBA, ARIC a.s.o.), She sits as an arbitrator and FIDIC national list adjudicator. 
 

Giovanni Rigoni is the Claims Manager & Head of Contracts Department of Techno Engineering and has over 35 years of professional experience in the civil engineering industry being involved for many years in Dispute Settlement with FIDIC based contracts and Contract Management thereof, thus providing technical and contract management assistance to many international Consulting Firms and Contractors. In the early stages of his career, after obtaining his BSc in Civil Engineering, he acquired site experience on various projects in Italy and Africa. He soon became involved in large dams/hydroelectric power plants projects such as Gilgel Gibe Hydroelectric Dam in Ethyopia. His project experience also includes also highways, motorways and bridges, railways, water supply and sewerage systems, land reclamation and civil buildings. During more than 20 years of international experience, Giovanni closely worked with international Consulting Firms and Contractors following the contract clauses implementation, coordinating projects both on the Contractor’s and the Engineer’s side. In particular he became skilled in contract management, cost control, cross-checking budget-closing, planning and managing plant requirements and subcontractors. Recently, he has obtained a Master of Laws with Merit after having followed an approved postgraduate programme in Construction Law and Arbitration. 

Giovanni Di Folco is the President, co-owner and Senior Partner of Techno Engineering & Associates Group, an international techno-legal Consulting Engineering Firm specializing in Integrated Contract Management, Claims and Dispute Avoidance & Resolution internationally, with experience in representing clients in international Adjudication, Arbitration and Litigation. He is a Civil Engineer, Arbitrator, Adjudicator, Expert Witness in Delay and Quantum and a legal arbitration practitioner with more than 30 years’ experience of managing multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects around the world. Mr Di Folco is a past Director and the current President-Elect of the DRBF Region 2 Board of Directors and is listed on the prestigious FIDIC President List of Certified Adjudicators. He is also a FIDIC Accredited Trainer, a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator and an Expert in project & contract management, contract administration, claims preparation and defense, delay analysis and quantum ascertainment. He has gained extensive experience in both international arbitration and adjudication work whilst acting as Arbitrator, Adjudicator, DB, DAB, DAAB and Counsel for a wide variety of clients. In particular, he has represented international clients and been involved in more than one hundred thirty international dispute adjudication procedures and in more than 60 international arbitrations conducted under the ICC and UNCITRAL Rules relating to disputes under the FIDIC Red, Yellow, Pink and Silver Books conditions of contract. Mr Di Folco lectures at various universities, is a Visiting Professor at the Politecnico of Milano University and is a regular guest speaker at several international conferences, seminars and workshops. He is the Vice President of the Romanian Association of Consulting Engineers (ARIC) and a Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania. He has authored and published, books and many papers and articles over the years regarding civil engineering, Dispute Boards, adjudication, arbitration, procurement, claims and contract management matters.
Henry Mbele Musonda
  Ionuţ Şerban, is a construction engineer with a vast national and international experience in the management of FIDIC and World Bank contracts. He acted/is acting as Engineer as defined by FIDIC, on a series of large-scale motorway projects in Romania. He also works in the field of contract administration, construction dispute adjudication, and arbitration. He issued expert opinions as an ex-parte expert for national and foreign companies in multiple arbitrations conducted under the Court of International Commercial Arbitration in Bucharest and Chisinau. He has an extensive experience as an expert witness appointed by the arbitral tribunal and Bucharest National Courts on several litigations concerning the extension of time and related costs. The issues disputed carried him through numerous types of construction projects, such as roads, railways, ports, buildings, wastewater treatment plants, and water supply. He is a member of several professional associations such as ARIC, SCL, and RSCL. He also acts as a FIDIC national list adjudicator.
  Irina Pongracz has a solid civil-law and common-law background after accomplishing legal studies both in France and the United States. Originally trained as a mechanical and aerospace engineer, she presently develops her practice in international (commercial and investment) arbitration with a particular emphasis on engineering and construction disputes. Irina’s arbitration practice covers matters conducted under the rules of numerous arbitration centres (notably ICC, LCIA, DIAC, ICSID, CRCICA, AFA, French-Arab Chamber of Commerce, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc.) and on ad hoc international arbitration proceedings (usually applying the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules). Irina acts as Counsel and legal advisor in complex arbitration proceedings with high-value claims involving both international corporate clients and State entities. Her arbitration experience includes various business sectors (in particular project development, infrastructure, technology - water treatment and power plants, telecommunications, aeronautics, banking, oil, and gas) with a focus on construction and industry arbitration in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the MENA region).
 

Jan Bouckaert has 25 years of worldwide experience in the management of complex construction, renewable energy, power, and infrastructure projects, specialized in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Contract Management. He is a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a Civil Engineer (MSc) from the University of Leuven (Belgium) with an MBA from ISEG (Portugal). During his career and through extensive training (CIArb, FIDIC, DRBF, CMAP, etc.), he has accumulated a vast experience on contracts. He is the Managing Director of a niche consulting company on Contract Management (AfiTaC) and speaks fluently English, French, Portuguese and Dutch.

  Jeremy Glover is a partner at Fenwick Elliott LLP, the UK’s largest construction law firm, and is listed as a leader in his field in Who’s Who Legal: Construction 2020. An accredited adjudicator and member of the CIArb Adjudication Sub-Committee, he advises on all aspects of projects from initial procurement and strategic project advice to dispute avoidance and resolution. Jeremy is the co-author of Understanding the FIDIC Red and Yellow Book: A Clause by Clause Commentary, the third edition of which was published in 2018, and lead editor of Building Contract Disputes: Practice and Precedents. Jeremy is a member of the Board of Examiners on the Construction Law MSc programme at King’s College, and also teaches on the MSc Building Information Modelling Management Programme at Middlesex University. He serves as the DRBF Past President for DRBG Region 2 Board of Directors.

John Papworth  is a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator, practicing as a Dispute Board Chairman or Member, International Arbitrator, Mediator and Expert. His working life of 53 years has taken him to Africa, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. He has worked on projects in the fields of oil and gas, civil, marine, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and nuclear engineering as well as building. He is a Chartered Arbitrator and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, theRoyal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and the Association of Cost Engineers. John is pleased to be working in partnership with Svetlana Borisova, who is also attending the Conference, in the fields of International Dispute Avoidance and Dispute Resolution.

  Levent Irmak is a Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience. He has an MSc degree in construction management from Northeastern University in Boston, USA. He is an independent consulting engineer and Managing Director of MC2 MODERN International Construction Consultancy Corporation. He has been appointed as a Dispute Board member (both sole and 3-member and as DB chair) in various construction projects such as wastewater treatment plants, transportation projects (railway construction and modernization and road construction and rehabilitation), and power plant construction and also served as Expert Witness in international arbitration cases (both as tribunal-appointed and party-appointed) and as Contract Advisor in various construction projects in various countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa, the Caucasus, and Asia. He is Past-President of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) Region 2 Board of Directors and a member of DRBF, FIDIC, EFCA, ATCEA (Association of Turkish Consulting Engineers and Architects), and ISTAC (Istanbul Arbitration Center) Construction Committee. He previously served as DRBF Representative for Turkey and is currently serving as Chair of the DRBF Region 2 Pupillage and Mentoring Committee.
  Lindy Patterson QC is a Barrister with 39 Essex Chamber, London. She specialises in arbitration and adjudication, both internationally and within the UK. She is recognised as a leading construction and energy disputes specialist. She has extensive experience as counsel for clients in these sectors. As a senior partner in a major commercial law firm before joining 39 Essex Chambers, she represented clients in large-scale complex disputes in major infrastructure, energy and oil, and gas projects. She is a Past President of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation’s Region 2 Board or Directors and served on the DRBF Executive Board of Directors in 2018-19. She is on the FIDIC President’s List of International Adjudicators; and serves on the following panels: TeCSA Adjudicators; Transport for London Conflict Avoidance Panel and RICS (Scotland).

Marco Ruggiero holds an MSc in Civil Engineering and has over 20 years’ of experience in the implementation of large construction projects. His main fields of expertise are Underground Works, roads, rails, and hydraulic structures (dams, hydropower plants). His experience spans all stages of construction (from site installation up to commissioning). He is specialized in Contract Management, Claim Management, dispute avoidance and resolution, negotiations, and mediation between the Parties, usually in the role of Employer’s Representative in Dispute Adjudication Boards and in litigation proceedings. Marco is a FIDIC-certified Adjudicator and on the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators. He is also listed among the Swiss International Experts as FIDIC Adjudicator and Neutral Expert.

 

Maria Fisentzou, a Chartered Civil Engineer, a testified Delay Expert and CEDR Accredited Mediator with over 30 years’ experience. Maria started her career working for engineering firms as a structural designer and project manager. Later in her career she joined the contracting sector where she spent 15 years in construction management, planning engineering and commercial management in different parts of the world. Throughout her career she gained extensive experience in the preparation of construction programmes using critical path analysis techniques, resource scheduling, and programme and cost monitoring for major building and civil engineering projects. She has extensive experience in the preparation of delay and disruption analyses for claims for extension of time, loss and expense, and acceleration measures. Her work is applied not only to formal dispute resolution proceedings but also for risk assessment and negotiated settlements. 

Maria has acted as independent party appointed delay expert on several projects including public building construction, shipbuilding, the oil & gas, wind, nuclear and solar power industries. She has given oral expert evidence in international arbitration proceedings, domestic adjudication, and mediation proceedings. In addition, Maria has been appointed to provide advice and independent expert opinion to clients on a variety of planning/ programming, forensic scheduling and contractual issues in building, including high-rise residential and office developments, FPSOs, shipbuilding, infrastructure, hotel construction, and tunnelling projects. She has gained extensive experience in adjudication and international arbitration and has advised clients on dispute resolution processes and provided case-management for these.

Maria in addition to her BSc(Hons) in Civil Engineering she has an MSc degree in Structural Engineer and an MSc degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College, London. She is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Engineering Council, Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and Member of the Academy of Experts. 

 

Marcus Theil is a graduate Civil Engineer (M.Sc.) with 30+ years of experience and has worked mainly in infrastructure (rail, road, airports) and industrial projects in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Since October 2005 he is Managing Partner of CCM Consulting GmbH, a specialised consultancy for Contract and Claims Management and based in Vienna, Austria. His fields of activity comprise Expertise, Contract and Claims Management, Dispute Boards, Due Diligence, Project Monitoring, Project Evaluation, Technical – Economical consulting and Project Management. Marcus is an FIDIC certified contract trainer, a member of the Austrian Chamber of Chartered Architects and Engineers, and of the Austrian Society for Construction Law. He is currently Country Representative for Austria of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.

 

Michael Mac Guinness is a Chartered Engineer with degrees in mechanical and industrial engineering and over 40 years of experience in the management of major projects in oil & gas, pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, industrial, office and retail construction, high concept architectural buildings, roads and infrastructure projects. With a rare balance of experience in owner, engineer and construction contractor organisations from feasibility studies through to commissioning, he has a deep understanding of the challenges each party faces in trying to deliver projects. Extensive experience from direct supervision of labour on site to senior roles in Owner Project Management and Project Controls culminated in becoming the Delay Analysis Expert for a major National Oil Company in the Middle East where he was responsible for assessing and recommending extensions of time in up to 100 disputes and claims of all values for small, medium and mega-projects. While employed by this National Oil Company, he was a key member of a Dispute Resolution Unit established on a trial basis to expeditiously resolve a backlog of potential claims. The unit was later established on a permanent basis and a Dispute Resolution procedure incorporated into the company’s contracts. In recent years he has been advising clients in the Middle East on improving Project Controls, and on claims and delay analysis on mega-projects in the oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.

 

Nata Ghibradze, is a Counsel at International Arbitration Group of Hogan Lovells International LLP in Munich. She focuses on international commercial arbitration and regularly represents clients as counsel in arbitrations in the in the energy (oil & gas, renewables), construction, infrastructure, and engineering industries. In addition to her arbitration practice, Nata regularly represents clients before Dispute Board proceedings for construction projects.

Nicholas Gould, BSc (Hons), LL.M., FRICS, FCIArb, MCIOB, is Past President of the Executive Board of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation and a partner in the specialist construction, engineering, and energy lawyers Fenwick Elliott LLP, where he conducts a mix of international dispute resolution and non-contentious work. He is a solicitor-advocate, chartered surveyor, accredited adjudicator, and CEDR Chambers lead mediator. He acts for contractors, employers, and governments in the building, construction, engineering, infrastructure, transport, energy, oil and gas, and process engineering sectors. Dispute resolution experience spans litigation, arbitration (domestic and international), adjudication, DAB/DRB, mediation, early neutral evaluation, and expert determination. He regularly acts as lead mediator in multi-party multi-million disputes. Nicholas is a certified adjudicator and sits on international dispute boards and as an arbitrator. Chamber & Partners 2011 notes Nicholas for his “ability to pre-empt potential problems and provide advice in a clear manner that maintains the individual needs of clients”. Legal 500, 2011 edition list Nicholas as a leading figure for Construction and Mediation who is “extremely knowledgeable and listens carefully to his clients”. The IBA’s 2008 and 2013 editions of International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers Today listed Nicholas as one of the “ten most highly regarded individuals internationally for construction law” and the IBA’s Who’s Who Legal 2015 listed Nicholas in the top five in Europe.
Oana Soimulescu is a Romanian construction lawyer and the founder of Soimulescu & Partners, established in 2005 as the first Romanian law practice focusing exclusively on construction projects. Oana deals regularly with public infrastructure projects such as road, railway, airport and water/environmental projects, in Romania and in the South Eastern Europe. She has extensive experience in dealing with various forms of construction contracts with specific focus on FIDIC forms of contract. She has been regularly involved as counsel since 2005 in complex construction arbitrations under the ICC and CCIR Rules. Oana lectured between 2008 and 2011 as an associate professor of the Technical Construction University of Bucharest, teaching FIDIC Contract Management and Construction Legislation to graduates from the Roads and Railways Construction Department in a MSC programme. She is an alumna of the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
 

Priscilla Kar, is a Quantum Expert and Senior Director at FTI Consulting’s Construction Solutions practice in London. She has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry managing different aspects of commercial and contractual issues on large-scale and high-profile projects including building and infrastructure in UK, Ireland, Middle East, North Africa, as well as Southeast Asia. She provides invaluable commercial advice to clients on the management of dispute resolution processes for construction disputes. Specifically, she advises Employers, Contractors and Subcontractors on quantum matters arising out of delay, disruption, variations, final account entitlement and change in legislation. She provides independent expert opinion on quantum and commercial matters in litigation, arbitration, adjudication and negotiation forums. Priscilla holds a MSc degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London, a LLB degree, and a BSc degree in Construction Economics and Management. She is a Fellow Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Also, Priscilla provides training to candidates who undergo the Assessment of Professional Competence with RICS and regularly participates as an assessor for RICS panel interviews.

 

Robert Werth is an independent dispute resolution practitioner, serving as adjudicator, dispute board member or expert in alternative dispute resolution procedures or in international arbitration. Robert A Werth has experience as adjudicator and dispute board member in complex, medium to extra-large projects. His appointments cover a broad range of industry sectors, including heavy construction, plant contracts incl. energy and natural resources (hydroelectric, solar, wind farm and offshore, but also BOT model contracts). He is panelist of the German Maritime Association of Arbitrators and UK Adjudicators and World Offshore Forum Wind. His skills as practitioner and in dispute avoidance are frequently sought on roads, bridges and tunneling Dispute Boards. As expert, Robert A. Werth is publicly appointed and sworn for quantum and FIDIC conditions. Additionally, Robert A. Werth is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a certified FCL-Adjudicator, listed on the FIDIC President´s List of Adjudicators, accredited as FIDIC international Trainer.  He is a principal drafter of the recently published and so popular FIDIC Green Book, second Edition and currently chair of FIDIC´s task group for establishing of “FIDIC’s Handbook for Practitioners”. Mr. Robert A. Werth holds a degree international commercial arbitration and in civil engineering and construction combined with three decades of experience in problem solving in the international construction industry.

  Roberto Panetta is an attorney at law specialized in domestic and international contracts, including private procurement and construction, restructuring agreements, service agreements, and domestic and international commercial arbitration. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Panetta Law Firm based in Milan. Since 2013 he has been a lecturer in Civil Law (Works contracts) at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan Since 2016 he has also been a lecturer of Civil Law (Business Contracts) at the Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. He was a lecturer at the Master in International Construction Management at the Politecnico di Milano. Since 2020 he has been Vice Chairman of the European Society of Construction Law, a permanent member of the Council, and Secretary General of the Italian Society of Construction Law. He is a member of the Swiss Arbitration Association Below 40 and is also a member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation and of the International Bar Association. Roberto Panetta is the author and co-author of numerous works on civil law and arbitration. He regularly speaks at conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad on matters pertaining to civil law, arbitration, and dispute boards. Furthermore, he collaborates with the Italian national newspaper, Il Sole 24 Ore on the Law and Taxes section and SKY TG24.
  Sean Gibbs is Chief Executive Officer at Hanscomb Intercontinental and is a member of the DRBF Region 2 Board of Directors.

Since 2019 he has been an Independent Senior Consultant (Consulting Engineer).

  Taner Dedezade is an international construction barrister and ICC arbitrator, practicing at Corbett & Co, with some 25 years of experience, specialising in the resolution and avoidance of disputes arising out of international construction and engineering projects, particularly under the FIDIC forms. Taner is a FIDIC-certified Adjudicator and on the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators. Taner is also a FIDIC-certified trainer, FIDIC trainer of the Year 2020, and Visiting FIDIC lecturer on the King’s MSc in Construction law and arbitration. Taner was invited by FIDIC to train all Members of the FIDIC President’s List; and FIDIC Accredited Trainers.
  Thierry Linares is a Managing Director in the construction practice of FTI Consulting's Forensic and Litigation team in Paris. He has 17 years of experience managing the various components of project controls, both on the contractor and client side. Thierry has been extensively involved in the set-up, management, and development of activities of project control: budget and cost control, planning, contracts and subcontracts administration, risk management, and analysis of key performance indicators. As such, Thierry has developed a comprehensive knowledge of issues relating to cost, scheduling, procurement, risk, and contract management within the construction industry, and applied those in claims writing, review and expertise. Thierry has been focused on dispute resolution for the last four years, has experience testifying in ICC arbitrations as a delay and quantum expert, and has been selected by the Who's Who Legal as being among the world's leading Consulting Experts and Expert Witnesses yearly since 2018.
Ugo Galli is a professional Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the implementation of infrastructure and environmental engineering projects covering a wide range of sectors: civil and structural engineering, buildings, water supply and sewer networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, hydraulics, transportation, and environmental impact assessment. He has worked extensively with international institutions (United Nations Organizations, European Commission, World Bank, EBRD), local government officials, and private sector contractors. He became an expert in EU programs and procedures and as such he has a proven track record in the coordination of complex projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East. Throughout such experience, Ugo has acquired project management, contract management, and claims management skills and proven leadership qualities. During his career, Ugo also coordinated and oversaw the preparation of tender documents carried out by various Companies for national and international projects. Given his vast knowledge of tendering procedures, he also provided assistance to various Contracting Authorities during the bid advertisement process, prequalification and bidding, evaluation, and reporting. He acts as a Contract and Claims Management Expert, primarily based on the FIDIC suite of contracts, managing and coordinating engineering projects in the fields of civil structures (in particular infrastructural networks), buildings, urban planning, pipelines, hydraulics and environmental management, power generation (Hydropower plants). He serves as Claims Manager and Head of the Middle East Operations at TE&A.
 

Vanja Podhradski is construction engineer with 10 years experience in management of FIDIC contracts. He acted as an Employer Representative/Project Manager (in Public Company Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ltd. Mostar) on several motorway projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has experience in procurement, construction and closing phases of the project under FIDIC contract with emphasis on variation and clam assessment, project and contract management, project controlling, administration issues, financial project control, coordination with authority. For past seven years he had active role in DAB's proceedings on motorway projects, which include preparations of referrals and participation in hearings. He is a FIDIC certified professional (FCL Certified Contract Manager).  

  Violeta Oana Dinu is a power systems engineer with over 30 years of working experience in both engineering and construction management fields. She is specialized in construction cost-based claims and quantum damages analysis for international contractors. Violeta is employed since 2011 with Techno Engineering & Associates Group, a Romanian company of international consulting engineers & contract managers with main offices in Bucharest, Romania. She ascertained quantum claims for a significant number of large infrastructure projects involving highway construction, national road rehabilitation, and track renewal. She accrued experience as an expert witness in quantum matters in Dispute Adjudication Board hearings, International Arbitrations, and Romanian Courts as well as Romanian Arbitration.
  Virginie Colaiuta is a partner of the London office of LMS Legal LLP. She acts as counsel, advocates, and arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings deriving from construction and energy projects. Virginie is a Visiting Fellow at King’s College London, where she teaches the MSc -Master on Construction Law and Dispute Resolution. She is the ICP Committee Editor of the law magazine titled “Construction Law International”, a publication promoted by the International Construction Projects Committee of the International Bar Association. Virginie is admitted to practise as Avocat à la Cour in Paris (France), Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales, and Attorney at Law in New York (NY, USA). As a result of her experience, Virginie has an excellent understanding of the differences between civil law and common law rules applicable to construction projects.

Wolfgang Wiesner, Chartered engineer and PHD, Wolfgang is currently working with the Porr group since 1997 as project manager, area manager and managing director of subsidiaries abroad. Since 2007 leading the department for “contract and claims management”. He is a University lecturer, court surveyor and mediator in Austria.
